Welcome to the
Beverley Social Club

Once Upon A Time,

this historic building was home to the Brooklyn Democratic Club, the Brooklyn Public Library, and since 1942 was a place of worship. Recently restored and re-awakened, you will be surprised to find a real ballroom in the rear of this stand-alone victorian house.

The Ballroom

35' X 35'

At 1225 square feet, this room easily accommodates 100 people and can be transformed to suit your needs - an awards ceremony, film screening, lecture, recital, business presentation, cocktail party, product launch, or a grand reception with a band and dance floor.

The East Room

Two parlor rooms, one with Art Nouveau detailing, the other offering an elegant entrance into the ballroom, can be used together for a cocktail party, baby shower, dinner for 30, or anything requiring a more intimate setting.

The Nouveau Room

Combined with the ballroom, these two rooms serve as a welcome center and charming gathering space to prepare your guests for the larger event to follow, or as a quiet retreat from the festivities in the ballroom.  A coat check room is available and is especially welcome during the cold or wet weather, and the front porch offers a breath of fresh air, a moment's break, or a smoker's retreat.

Victorian Flatbush

One of the Largest Collections of Victorian Houses in the Country

Upon exiting the subway, you may well feel that the train was a time machine and you’ve been transported back in time 100 years.  Most of the free standing homes here were built in the early 1900’s. You will be charmed with their open porches, turrets, bay windows, stained glass and manicured lawns. No two houses are exactly the same, each one is more charming than the next.

A Village in the City

30 minutes from Manhattan, Victorian Flatbush offers a respite from the city hubbub. You can experience small town charm on streets like Cortelyou Road, where fine dining, schoolyards, and coffee shops thrive.   A pleasant walk through tree lined streets takes you to the picturesque esplanades of Albemarle Road and further on to glorious Prospect Park .
